The answer here is yes. The aim of this night is to raise awareness and funds for homelessness in the Maranoa. It's also a great chance to network with community and business leaders
Our suggestion is to bring warm clothes. It'll be heading into winter and we know what winter can be like in Roma (can you imagine doing this every night?). We also encourage you to bring your phone to take photos and share your experience on social media.
We are simulating homelessness, so no blow up mattresses, pillows, CPAP machines, and so on. For this one night you will also not be able to bring any alcohol, drinks, snacks, or food.
There sure will. For participants, we encourage you to get people to donate to your endeavours. We may even have a prize for the participant that raises the most money over and above their registration. If you aren't participating we will have collection points available around the Maranoa & online
Short of an extreme weather event, this will proceed rain, hail, or shine. After all, our homeless have to sleep through it all
The funds will be passed on to our local charities and service providers to help support their work. No funds will be donated to services that cannot use the money locally.
